Starry Skies over Wyddfa (Snowdon)

Updated: Feb 22

I'm planning a night time photography adventure to photograph the Milky Way over Snowdon on the 4th May 2024.

At the point on the monutain where the paths converge there is a viewpoint to the summit. According to the Photopills app around 1am on Saturday 4th May the milky way will passover the summit of Wyddfa. I think it will look quite spectacular should the skies be clear. Ideally i'd like to not be on my own so thought i'd put my intention here to see if anyone fancies joining me for this experience.

The plan is set off from Llanberis around 9pm and take the Llanberis path to the viewpoint, aiming to be there before 1am. the Milky way will be visible until 2am after which we can make our way to the summit to watch the sunrise and habve a well deserved breakfast.

The location i want to be at by 1am when the MilkyWay rises is here.
